Ideal candidate(s):

  • Experience working with youth, particularly high school students.
  • Maturity, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, dependable, and calm under pressure.
  • Commitment to educational equity and the ABC mission.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive scholars as needed.

Cook

Prepare meals, provide support and help create a welcoming home

Start Date: August 25, 2025
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00–6:00 PM during the academic year (excluding school breaks and holidays).

Role Highlights:

  • Consults with the Resident Director to provide healthy meals that support religious, cultural, physical and life choice preferences
  • Oversees and supervises the household during time present in the home
  • Provides a warm, safe atmosphere

 

Academic Coordinator 

Be a steady source of guidance and encouragement in a meaningful after school role

Start Date: August 25, 2025
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00–9:00 PM during the academic year (excluding school breaks and holidays). Some Sundays maybe included.

Role Highlights:

  • Consults regularly with Scholars about homework assignments, tests and other academic requirements
  • Assist Scholars with scheduling their time, reviewing completed assignments and recommending consultations with classroom teachers or tutoring as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree required
